If your job may be affected
Washington's services for laid-off workers include information about unemployment benefits, dislocated-worker programs and WorkSource training and reemployment services. A local WorkSource office can help you understand the public support available.
In Hawaii, American Job Centers offer free job-search assistance and resource-center computers. Services also include career counseling, HireNet Hawaii support and skills training; some more intensive services have eligibility requirements. The state directory lists a center in each county.
Your individual employer notice is the place to check your own final work date, pay arrangements and next steps. These public resources are not a company-specific placement program or a guarantee of another job.
