News4Jax reporting published by Jacksonville Today on October 4 also confirmed the permanent closure, but said the exact final day was unknown. This is an early-October event being added to our coverage now, not a newly announced October 27 shutdown. Jacksonville Today

The available reporting does not establish why the restaurant closed permanently, how many people worked there or whether employees transferred. No job-loss total or replacement business is confirmed here.

Hooters’ official restaurant locator lets customers search by city or ZIP code. However, its separate participating-locations page still names Jacksonville San Jose. That listing is not evidence of a reopening, given the local reports documenting permanent-closure signs.

For another location, confirm current hours directly before traveling or ordering. Older promotional lists and directory entries can lag behind a restaurant’s operating status.
