Pour Taproom in downtown Durham is listed as closed by Discover Durham, the city’s tourism organization. The bar is at 202 N. Corcoran Street, Suite 200.

The News & Observer reported October 28 that Pour had announced October 31, 2026, as its final service. The exact time of that final service has not been independently confirmed.

Why the owners decided to close

Co-owner Andrew Shaver told the newspaper that revenue had declined since late 2021. He cited changing drinking habits and waning enthusiasm for craft beer. Those are his explanations, not conclusions about every local bar.

Shaver expected another business to take over the space, but no successor or opening date was identified. Employee numbers and transfer arrangements remain unknown.

Before relying on an old listing

The taproom’s own website still displayed regular hours and event-hosting information when reviewed. That older information should not override the closing announcement and tourism directory’s closed designation. Anyone with an outstanding booking or transaction should seek a direct update rather than assume the venue is still accepting business.
