Sealy plans to end Trinity manufacturing, affecting 114 jobs

Sealy Mattress Manufacturing Company plans to close its manufacturing operation at 239 Sealy Drive in Trinity, North Carolina, affecting 114 workers. The state's WARN summary lists December 31, 2026, as the effective date for the permanent closure. The notice is dated October 23 and was received that day.

Other work will remain at the property. In a statement reported by Business North Carolina on October 26, Tempur Sealy said research and product development would continue there. Corporate office roles are not affected.

The Trinity operation makes Sealy and Stearns & Foster mattresses. The company attributed its decision to changing customer demand and business needs. The statement did not detail transition arrangements for individual employees.
